How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

NOW HIRING: Counterbalance Forklift Driver — Burton! Join a busy, well-organised warehouse operation in the Burton area, supporting smooth, efficient movement of goods across rotating day and late shifts. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver to step into consistent Monday–Friday work with a competitive hourly rate and a straightforward, hands-on role.

    About the Role:

You will operate a counterbalance forklift to safely move, load, and stack palletised goods within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Working on rotating weekly shifts, you’ll play a key part in maintaining efficient stock flow and supporting the wider team to meet daily dispatch and receiving targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

Operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and transport palletised goods within the warehouse.
Safely stack and store products in designated areas, maintaining clear and organised racking and floor space.
Assist with inbound and outbound deliveries, including vehicle loading and unloading according to site procedures.
Follow all site safety rules, traffic management plans, and handling guidelines while operating equipment.
Conduct basic pre-use checks on the forklift and report any defects or issues promptly.
Work closely with warehouse staff to support picking, packing, and stock movement as required.
Maintain accurate handling of goods to minimise damage and ensure items are stored correctly.
    Key Requirements:

Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or industrial environment.
Strong track record of safe forklift operation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
Confident in load handling, stacking, and manoeuvring in tight or busy spaces.
Ability to work rotating weekly shifts (8:00am–4:00pm and 4:00pm–Midnight), Monday–Friday.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
    Desirable Skills:

Experience working in a high-volume distribution or logistics environment.
Familiarity with basic warehouse systems or manual stock handling processes.
Flexibility to support additional warehouse tasks when required.
    Qualifications:

Valid counterbalance forklift licence or in-house certificate (in-house accepted).
Basic education to a good standard (GCSE level or equivalent) preferred.
Any additional MHE (Material Handling Equipment) training or certification beneficial.
If you are an experienced counterbalance forklift driver in the Burton area and ready to start work, apply now or get in touch to discuss this temporary opportunity
