How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    OTE: £8,000-£10,000
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week

I'm working with a growing training provider to recruit a Candidate Engagement Executive to join its team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in candidate engagement, learner recruitment, customer-facing sales or education who enjoys building relationships, working towards targets and helping people take the next step in their careers.

The organisation delivers a range of IT, digital and HR training programmes, including Skills Bootcamps and Adult Skills Fund (ASF) provision. Its programmes are designed to help individuals develop in-demand skills, gain recognised industry qualifications and improve their employment prospects.
    The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Candidate Engagement, you'll play a key role in attracting, engaging and enrolling suitable candidates onto training programmes. You'll manage the candidate journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment, while maintaining engagement throughout their training and supporting positive learner outcomes.

This is a target-driven position combining candidate sourcing, relationship management, sales and career guidance. You'll need to be proactive, organised and confident communicating with a diverse range of people, with a genuine interest in helping candidates access training and employment opportunities.

You'll also work closely with internal teams and external referral partners to generate new leads, increase programme starts and maintain a strong pipeline of eligible candidates.

    Key responsibilities

Manage the candidate journey from initial enquiry and application through to screening, enrolment and onboarding.
Proactively source and engage potential candidates through job boards, referral partners and other channels.
Screen applicants to assess their eligibility and suitability for Skills Bootcamps and Adult Skills Fund programmes.
Work towards agreed KPIs and targets relating to candidate engagement, lead conversion, activity and programme starts.
Conduct telephone consultations, one-to-one career guidance sessions and candidate screening calls.
Deliver online webinars and presentations to promote training opportunities and encourage applications.
Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, referral organisations and other external partners.
Maintain regular contact with learners throughout their programmes, identifying potential barriers and supporting retention.
Accurately manage the candidate pipeline, CRM/database records, activity reporting and forecasts.
Collaborate with marketing and internal delivery teams to improve lead generation, candidate engagement and programme outcomes.
Ensure all enrolment, compliance and safeguarding procedures are followed.
    Essential experience and skills:

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both over the phone and in writing.
Experience working towards KPIs, targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, motivated and commercially minded approach, with the ability to convert enquiries into tangible outcomes.
Confidence engaging with a diverse range of people and influencing them positively.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities simultaneously.
A personable, approachable and solutions-focused attitude.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general administrative systems. Desirable experience:

Experience within education, apprenticeships, employability, skills training or work-based learning.
Previous experience in candidate engagement, learner recruitment, onboarding, recruitment resourcing or admissions.
A background in customer-facing sales, lead generation or account management.
Experience sourcing candidates and building relationships with external referral partners. If you're a confident communicator who enjoys working towards targets and building relationships, and you're interested in helping people access training and employment opportunities, I'd love to hear from you.
Please get in touch to find out more about the role and discuss whether it could be the right next step for you
