How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are looking for passionate educators who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire pupils and create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

This is an excellent opportunity for teachers seeking flexible working arrangements, short-term or long-term placements, and the chance to make a meaningful difference within local school communities.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales and the school's curriculum requirements.
    - Support pupils' academic progress, personal development and wellbeing.
    - Create a positive classroom environment that promotes participation, confidence and a love of learning.
    - Adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet the differing abilities, learning styles and needs of pupils.
    - Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
    - Establish clear expectations and promote positive behaviour management strategies.
    - Support pupils' literacy, numeracy, communication and wider learning skills.
    - Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, additional learning needs staff and other school professionals.
    - Maintain effective communication with colleagues and contribute to pupils' ongoing development.
    - Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour management and confidentiality.
    - Ensure all pupils are treated fairly and that their individual needs are recognised and supported.

    Essential Requirements

    - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised eligibility to teach in Wales.
    - Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
    - A sound understanding of primary education, lesson planning and pupil assessment.
    - Knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and the principles of inclusive education.
    - Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
    - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
    - An enhanced DBS check suitable for working with children, or willingness to complete the required checks.
    - Satisfactory references and completion of all relevant pre-employment compliance checks.

    What We Offer

    - Flexible working opportunities to suit your availability.
    - Competitive rates of pay, dependent on experience and qualifications.
    - Short-term, long-term and ongoing teaching placements.
    - Opportunities to work across a range of primary schools in Rhyl and the surrounding areas.
    - Support from a friendly and approachable recruitment team.
    - Opportunities for continued professional development and training.
    - A straightforward recruitment and onboarding process.
    - The opportunity to make a positive impact on children's education and development within local communities.
