How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are working in partnership with a well-established, internationally backed manufacturer within the commercial vehicle sector to recruit a Regional Sales Manager as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

With a substantial UK manufacturing operation, a strong existing customer base and the backing of a major European group, the business is investing in its future and looking to strengthen its sales capability to capture new opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Regional Sales Manager who wants to combine new business development with strategic account management while building towards a future senior leadership position, with full product training and coaching.

    The Role

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take responsibility for developing sales across your designated region, winning new business and maximising opportunities within established customer accounts.

Working remotely and travelling regularly to meet customers, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, strengthening market presence and contributing to the wider commercial strategy.

    Key responsibilities include:

Identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across your region.

    *

Managing and growing relationships with existing key accounts.

    *

Developing strategic sales plans to maximise revenue and market share.

Building strong relationships with customers, decision-makers and commercial stakeholders.

    *

Understanding customer requirements and presenting tailored product and service solutions.

    *

Negotiating commercial agreements and managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to completion.

    *

Monitoring market activity, competitor developments and emerging business opportunities.

    *

Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.

    *

Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to the overall growth strategy.

    About You

We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded sales professional who can balance the drive to win new business with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

    You will ideally have:

    *

Proven experience in a B2B sales, business development or regional sales role with commercial vehicles or similar high value industrial vehicles .

    *

A strong track record of winning new business and developing existing accounts.

Experience selling technical, engineered or capital equipment products.

    *

The ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers and negotiate commercial agreements.

    *

Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven approach.

    *

Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

    *

The ability to work autonomously, manage your own diary and travel regularly throughout your region.

    *

    A full UK driving licence.

Experience within commercial vehicles, tanker manufacturing, transport equipment, specialist vehicles or a related engineering/manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
