How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Warrington and surrounding areas
    Job Type: Day-to-Day Supply, Short-Term & Long-Term Opportunities
Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities

Calling All Teaching Assistants in Warrington!

Are you a passionate, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Whether you're searching for flexible supply work, a short-term placement or a rewarding long-term position, Premier Education wants to hear from you!

We're working with a growing number of welcoming primary schools across Warrington and are looking to expand our fantastic team of Teaching Assistants.

We're particularly keen to hear from individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) experience, but we have opportunities for Teaching Assistants with a wide range of backgrounds and skills.

    What Opportunities Are Available?

Day-to-Day Supply: Enjoy the flexibility to choose when and where you work.

Short-Term Placements: Perfect for those looking for a few weeks of consistent work.

Long-Term Roles: Build relationships with pupils and staff in a regular school setting.

SEND Support: Work with children who need additional support, including those with autism, ADHD, communication difficulties or SEMH needs.

EYFS & Primary Classroom Support: Help young learners develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

    Who Are We Looking For?

We'd love to hear from you if you:

Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in an educational setting.

Have experience in EYFS, KS1, KS2 or SEND.

Are patient, nurturing, adaptable and enthusiastic about helping children succeed.

Can build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.

Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential, depending on experience).

Are looking for anything from occasional supply days to full-time, long-term work.

Looking to Make the Move into Schools?

You don't have to have worked in a school before to apply!

Have you previously worked in a private day nursery, residential childcare setting, children's home or another child-focused care or support role? We'd love to hear from you too!

The skills you've developed supporting children's learning, development, emotional wellbeing and individual needs could make you a fantastic addition to a school team.

Whether you're looking for a change of environment, school-friendly working hours or a new challenge, we're happy to discuss how your experience could transfer into a school-based Teaching Assistant role.
