Location: Old Oak Common On-site (3-4 days per week)
Contract length: Ongoing
Rate: Dependant on experience - Inside IR35
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and multidisciplinary Systems Integration Manager to join our HS2 team. This critical role focuses on driving integration and collaboration between contractors, particularly across construction interfaces. You will ensure designs are effectively translated through construction, manage the verification process, and link various engineering disciplines. This is a long-term opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional.
UK main line railway enhancement / major station project experience is a must have, and this should be in the sphere of Technical Integration and not purely project / contract management. Candidate must have multidisciplinary experience in relevant disciplines and have a good understanding of systems engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
·Nurture integration and collaboration between contractors, resolving problems and identifying routes to resolution.
·Get into the "dirty detail" of engineering systems, understanding how different components and disciplines interact.
·Manage construction interfaces, taking designs through the verification and validation (V&V) cycle.
·Build evidence, coordinate handovers, and ensure information flow.
·Bridge communication between engineering disciplines, and where necessary, link to requirements and system safety teams.
·Understand the nuts and bolts of building railway systems, including comms, power, and software connections.
What We're Looking For:
·A railway, multidisciplinary engineering background with a strong understanding of systems engineering.
·Proven experience in major multidisciplinary system integration projects, demonstrating the ability to see beyond a single discipline.
·Experience in an engineering management or integration role (similar to a CEM, but not a nominated CEM).
·Ability to drive interfaces from problem identification to resolution and delivery.
·A "doer" willing to roll up sleeves and get into the detail.
·Strong understanding of the UK rail network.
What We Offer:
·A long-term contract opportunity on a major HS2 project.
·Competitive daily rates
