How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Service Sales Manager - HVAC
Machester based / North of England | £60,000–£65,000 | Permanent

We’re recruiting for an established international engineering business looking for an experienced Service Sales Manager in HVAC or similar to grow its service offering across the North of England.

This is a technical sales role focused on developing an existing installed customer base while also creating new opportunities across end users, building owners and facilities management teams.

The role combines site surveys, technical proposals, account development and closing business across HVAC service, maintenance, remedial works and replacement equipment.

    What you'll be doing:
Develop service revenue across an established customer and installed equipment base
Identify and convert new service and maintenance opportunities
Visit customer sites, survey equipment and understand required works
Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals
Follow up quotations and take opportunities through to close
Develop service contracts with existing and new customers
Sell commissioning, maintenance, remedial works and replacement plant
Promote energy optimisation, remote analytics and upgrade solutions
Manage existing service accounts, renewals and upsell opportunities
Build and maintain an accurate CRM pipeline
Manage monthly sales targets, forecasts and expected revenue
Work closely with engineering, service and internal sales teams What we're looking for: A Sales Manager with proven experience selling HVAC service solutions is essential.

We’re looking for someone who has already demonstrated the ability to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, produce proposals and close service-related business.

    You should also have:

Strong experience within the HVAC service industry
Proven technical sales experience with end users, building owners or facilities teams
Good technical understanding of HVAC equipment, ideally pumps, pressurisation equipment and booster sets
Experience selling service contracts, maintenance, remedial works or replacement equipment
Confidence carrying out site surveys and discussing technical requirements with customers
A track record of building and managing a sales pipeline
    Strong commercial and communication skills
Ability to work independently across a regional territory
Full UK driving licence This is not a step-up sales position. The successful candidate will need to show clear evidence of having already sold technical HVAC service solutions and generated revenue from both existing and new customers.

    The role:
    Salary: £60,000–£65,000
    Territory: North of England
    Contract: Permanent
Travel: Regular customer and site visits

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced HVAC Service Sales professional to take ownership of an established territory with an existing customer and installed equipment base, while developing further growth across service, maintenance and energy upgrade opportunities.
