How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Part Time Non Medical Prescriber
    Location: Thurrock
    Salary: £21,888 per annum
    Vacancy Type: Permanent, Part Time
Are you an experienced, forward-thinking Non-Medical Prescriber with a passion for improving outcomes for people affected by drug and alcohol dependence? We are looking for a confident and clinically skilled Band 7 NMP Nurse to provide expert prescribing, lead the management of complex cases and support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based substance misuse services.
In this pivotal role, you will combine advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership and management skills, providing specialist prescribing advice and guidance to a multidisciplinary team and working collaboratively with partner agencies. You will play a key role in promoting safe prescribing practices, supporting colleagues and ensuring clients receive compassionate, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinical leader to make a meaningful difference to the lives of people experiencing substance dependence.
    What you will be doing
    * Provide safe, effective and evidence-based non-medical prescribing for clients experiencing substance dependence related to drug and alcohol use.
    * Assess and manage complex clients, ensuring prescribing decisions meet individual needs and support positive treatment outcomes.
    * Provide expert advice, guidance and clinical support on prescribing issues to a team of practitioners.
    * Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies and partner organisations involved in substance misuse services.
    * Demonstrate strong clinical leadership, supporting best practice and maintaining high standards of care.
    * Undertake management responsibilities, contributing to the effective delivery and development of the service.
    * Promote safe prescribing practices and ensure care is delivered in line with relevant clinical guidelines, policies and professional standards.
    What we are looking for
    * A qualified nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
    * A qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) with the relevant prescribing qualification and authority to prescribe within their scope of practice.
    * Significant clinical experience in substance misuse services, particularly in the management of drug and alcohol dependence.
    * Experience in assessing and managing clients with complex clinical and prescribing needs.
    * Strong clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risk and make safe, evidence-based prescribing decisions.
    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies.
    * Proven leadership skills and the ability to support, guide and develop practitioners.
    * Experience of undertaking management responsibilities and contributing to service delivery.
    * A commitment to delivering person-centred, compassionate and high-quality care to individuals affected by substance dependence.
