How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Executive Planner - Nuclear – Somerset

We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy with presence across the UK and proven success in a variety of sectors including Rail, Utilities, Energy, Roads, Energy etc. Due to continued growth in their Nuclear arm, they are actively seeking an experienced Executive Planner in Somerset.

    Responsibilities

    * Construction Planning and Programme Development

Develop, maintain and update detailed construction programmes for major nuclear infrastructure works in Somerset. Work closely with project teams and delivery partners to establish realistic activity durations, sequencing and milestones, ensuring programmes reflect construction methodologies, resource requirements and project objectives.

    * Programme Monitoring and Progress Reporting

Monitor progress against agreed schedules, identifying deviations, emerging delays and potential impacts on key milestones. Prepare regular programme updates, progress reports and performance analysis, providing clear visibility of delivery status and highlighting areas requiring corrective action.

    * Schedule Integration and Interface Management

Coordinate programme interfaces across multiple construction disciplines, subcontractors and delivery partners within a complex alliance environment. Ensure activities are logically sequenced and integrated across work packages, identifying interface constraints and dependencies that could affect construction progress or overall programme delivery.

    * Risk Analysis and Programme Mitigation

Identify, assess and manage programme risks, constraints and critical path activities, evaluating the potential impact of delays on project milestones. Work with construction and project management teams to develop mitigation strategies, assess alternative sequences and support recovery planning where programme performance is at risk.

    * Stakeholder Engagement and Programme Assurance

Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, engineers and other stakeholders to validate programme logic, challenge progress assumptions and ensure schedules accurately reflect site conditions. Contribute to planning reviews, progress meetings and programme assurance activities, providing clear analysis and recommendations to support informed project decisions.

    Requirement

    * Minimum 5 years' experience in construction planning on major construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.

    * Strong knowledge of construction programming, critical path analysis, programme management and progress reporting, ideally within complex, multi-contractor projects.
