How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Milford RES is currently supporting a major infrastructure programme in the North West and is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a significant carbon capture pipeline scheme.

This is a high-profile major projects opportunity, responsible for managing the delivery of complex pipeline infrastructure as part of the UK's growing carbon capture and energy transition landscape.

    The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the effective delivery of a major pipeline package, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, stakeholders and supply chain partners from project development through to completion.

You will provide strong leadership across the project lifecycle, ensuring that programmes are delivered safely, efficiently, to specification and in line with agreed commercial and project objectives.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Leading the delivery of a major pipeline infrastructure project from construction through to completion.

    * Managing project teams, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders.

    * Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes, budgets and delivery plans.

    * Managing project risks, issues, change and interfaces.

    * Providing strong leadership across engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, HSE and project controls functions.

    * Managing contractor performance and ensuring delivery against agreed milestones.

    * Driving a strong safety culture throughout project delivery.

    * Coordinating interfaces between pipeline works and wider project infrastructure.

    * Reporting project progress, risks, performance and forecasts to senior management.

    * Supporting commercial management, contract administration and change control.

    * Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, legislation and project requirements.

    About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Director-level professional with a proven background delivering complex infrastructure projects.

Applicants must have significant pipeline and/or oil & gas experience, ideally gained within major capital projects or complex construction environments.

    You should have:

    * Proven experience managing large-scale pipeline, oil & gas, energy or comparable infrastructure projects.

    * Above ground installations (AGI) experience is essential

    * Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills.

    * Experience managing major contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

    * A strong understanding of construction and project delivery methodologies.

    * Experience managing budgets, programmes, risk and commercial interfaces.

    * A strong understanding of HSE requirements within major projects.

    * Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    * Relevant project management or engineering qualifications are desirable.

Experience of carbon capture, CO₂ transportation, hydrogen, energy transition or other major energy infrastructure projects would be advantageous, but is not essential where strong pipeline/oil & gas project delivery experience can be demonstrated.

    Package

    * Salary up to £100,000, depending on experience

    * Company car

    * Permanent position

    * Opportunity to work on a major UK energy infrastructure programme

    * Contract engagement may be considered for exceptional applicants
