How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Process Technician - Cheltenham

    £15.99 per hour | 4 On, 4 Off | 12-Week Temp to Perm

Enjoy solving problems, working with machinery and keeping things running smoothly?

We're recruiting for a Production Process Technician to join a busy manufacturing company in Cheltenham, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position after just 12 weeks.

This isn't your typical production job. You'll be working with large-scale automated machinery that does much of the work itself. Your role is to make sure everything runs as it should, spot problems before they become bigger issues and help get things back on track when something goes wrong.

If you're practical, enjoy figuring out how things work and like a job that keeps you thinking, this could be the opportunity for you!

    What's on offer?

    £15.99 per hour

    12-week temp-to-perm opportunity

4 on, 4 off shift pattern - 2 days, 2 nights, then 4 days off

    12-hour shifts

    Regular four-day breaks

Training and support to develop your technical skills

Opportunity to join an established manufacturing team

A varied, hands-on role where no two shifts are quite the same

    What will you be doing?

You'll be part of the team responsible for overseeing an automated paper manufacturing process, ensuring machinery runs safely, efficiently and produces a high-quality product.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Monitoring machinery to make sure production is running smoothly

Identifying and troubleshooting faults when something isn't working as it should

Responding to production issues and helping to get machinery back up and running

Checking product quality and spotting anything that doesn't meet the required standards

Reducing downtime and waste by identifying potential problems early

Supporting machine adjustments, start-ups and shutdowns

Carrying out routine safety and production checks

Working closely with colleagues and maintenance teams to resolve more complex issues

    What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who's switched on, practical and enjoys a challenge.

You'll be a great fit if you:

Have experience in manufacturing, production, machine monitoring or a similar environment

Enjoy problem-solving and working out why things aren't running correctly

Have a good eye for detail and can spot potential issues

Are confident using your initiative and taking responsibility

Can stay calm and think clearly when problems arise

Work well as part of a team

Have a positive attitude towards safety and quality

Are happy working a rotating day and night shift pattern

You don't need to be a qualified engineer or have previous experience in paper manufacturing.

We're particularly interested in people who have worked around machinery or automated production environments and have a natural ability to spot and solve problems.

    Why apply?

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of manufacturing but doesn't necessarily want to work in a traditional engineering or maintenance role.

You'll be working with specialist automated equipment, developing valuable skills and playing an important part in keeping production moving.

With a competitive hourly rate, regular four-day breaks and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks, it's a fantastic chance to take the next step in your manufacturing career.

    Interested? Apply today!

If you're practical, reliable and enjoy solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
