How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A great opportunity to lead a busy new homes sales operation We're working with a leading housing organisation looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join its team for an initial eight-month assignment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, driving sales performance and being involved in a varied portfolio of new homes developments.

You'll be joining an established organisation with a substantial programme of shared ownership and open-market homes across the South, with plenty happening and a real opportunity to make an impact.

The opportunity You'll take responsibility for a regional sales portfolio, leading and supporting a small team while overseeing sales activity across a number of exciting residential developments.

Working closely with colleagues across sales, marketing and development, you'll help bring new homes to market, keep sales progressing and ensure customers receive an excellent experience throughout their buying journey.

The portfolio includes developments across Slough, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and the wider South, including the Isle of Wight, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work across different schemes and locations.

You'll have the freedom to use your experience, bring ideas to the table and play an important part in the success of the regional sales programme.

    What you'll be doing
Leading, supporting and developing a regional sales team.

Overseeing the sales of new-build, shared ownership and open-market homes.

Managing sales performance, targets and progression across multiple developments.

Monitoring budgets, forecasts and sales pipelines.

Building good relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners.

Helping ensure a smooth, positive experience for customers purchasing their new homes.

What we're looking for We're keen to speak with experienced Sales Managers who have a background in new homes, residential property or housing sales.

You'll be comfortable managing people, understand what drives a successful sales operation and have experience of working with sales targets, budgets and forecasts.

Experience of shared ownership would be particularly welcome, along with an understanding of new-build developments and the wider housing market.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can bring experience, enthusiasm and confidence to an established team and make a positive contribution from the outset.

What's on offer? This opportunity offers the chance to:

Take responsibility for a substantial regional new homes portfolio.

Lead an established sales team within a major housing organisation.

Work across a varied programme of shared ownership and open-market developments.

Receive a competitive remuneration package, with fixed-term and interim contract options available.

If you've got experience managing new homes or residential sales and this sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.

Whether you're available immediately, approaching the end of a contract or simply interested in hearing more, please get in touch.
