Multi-Skilled Operative (3 Month Temporary Contract)
£16.75-£21.00 Per Hour + Company Van
Servara Ltd are pleased to be partnering with a well established contractor to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative for a 3 month temporary project based in North Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for an operative with a strong construction background to join a busy team delivering a programme of external property improvement and environmental works across occupied residential properties.
The successful Multi Skilled Operative will work on projects throughout the Ilfracombe area.
Multi Skilled Operative Duties Will Include:
- Carrying out a variety of external property maintenance and improvement works
- Excavation and groundwork activities
- Concreting, paving and reinstatement works
- Installation of fencing and guarding systems
- Construction of retaining walls and associated structures
- Installation of handrails and safety features
- Undertaking drainage alterations and repairs where required
- Completing general external refurbishment and environmental improvement works
- Operating basic plant and equipment safely and effectively
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship across occupied residential properties
- Working independently and as part of a wider team to deliver programme targets
The Multi Skilled Operative Will Need:
- Proven experience within construction, groundwork or external environmental works
- Experience carrying out excavation, concreting, paving and fencing works
- Ability to undertake drainage alterations and reinstatement activities
- Competence in the safe operation of basic plant and equipment
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working within residential environments would be advantageous
- A full UK driving licence
