Field Sales Representative

Remote / Field Based | Flexible Hours | Commission Only | OTE £40,000–£60,000 | Uncapped Earnings
Prompt Pay Capital is a fast-growing payments business helping UK merchants reduce the cost and complexity of accepting payments.
Working with major payment providers including Worldpay and Clover, we provide businesses with card terminals, EPOS systems, online payments, payment links and other payment solutions.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for ambitious Field Sales Representatives to develop their own territories across the UK.
This is a genuinely flexible, field-based opportunity. There is no requirement to commute into an office every day and no rigid 9–5 schedule. You'll have the freedom to organise your own week, develop your own territory and build your earnings around the results you generate.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for approaching businesses within your territory, starting conversations with owners and decision-makers and identifying opportunities for Prompt Pay.
Our potential customers are everywhere – cafés, restaurants, takeaways, barbers, salons, retailers, garages, dentists, florists and thousands of other businesses accepting card payments every day.
You'll speak with merchants about their current payment provider, understand how they're taking payments and identify where Prompt Pay may be able to offer a better solution.
You'll receive product and sales training covering our payment partners, card terminals, EPOS, online payments, merchant pricing and how to identify good opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
Your role will include:

Prospecting businesses within your chosen territory

Meeting business owners and decision-makers face-to-face

Building your own pipeline of merchant opportunities

Reviewing merchants' existing payment arrangements
*
Identifying opportunities across card processing, terminals, EPOS and online payments
*
Generating appointments and qualified leads
*
Following up prospects by telephone, email and LinkedIn
*
Working with our internal team to prepare merchant proposals
*
Developing long-term relationships with local businesses
*
Managing your own diary, territory and sales activity
You won't be tied to a desk or expected to follow a rigid daily schedule.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for energetic, self-motivated people who are comfortable speaking to new people and creating their own opportunities.
Previous field sales, door-to-door, B2B or payments experience is advantageous, but it isn't essential.

You may already have sales experience, or you might simply have the personality and ambition to become very good at it.
Flexibility & Remote Working
This role is designed to give you considerable independence.
You'll primarily work remotely and within your own field territory rather than from our office.
That means you can organise your prospecting, merchant visits, calls and follow-ups around the way you work best.
Some reps may prefer to spend several full days each week in the field. Others may combine field prospecting with telephone and LinkedIn outreach from home.
You'll have support from the Prompt Pay team when you need it without being micromanaged throughout your day.
Earnings
This is a self-employed, commission-only position with uncapped earning potential.
OTE: £40,000–£60,000 per year, with the opportunity for high performers to earn beyond this.
Your earnings are directly linked to the business you generate. Our commission structure rewards successful merchant acquisition across the payment solutions you sell.
There is no artificial ceiling on your earnings. The more successful accounts you develop, the greater your earning potential.

We're building a much larger national sales operation, creating opportunities for successful people to progress with us.
High-performing Field Sales Representatives will have the opportunity to move into more senior sales positions, including Payment Consultant and territory/team management roles as the business expands.
