How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Lead from the front. Inspire your team. Connect communities.

Global Highland is recruiting on behalf of its client for an ambitious, people-focused Regional Sales Team Leader to drive sales performance and lead a growing field sales team across the Highlands.

This is an opportunity to do more than manage a sales team. You’ll develop talent, drive commercial results and help bring ultrafast full-fibre broadband to more homes and communities across the region.

We’re looking for a confident leader who knows how to motivate people, turn targets into results and create a team culture where individuals feel supported, challenged and inspired to succeed.

If you have management or supervisory experience, a strong commercial mindset and the enthusiasm to lead from the front, this could be your next big career move.

The opportunity: Lead a team that makes a difference

As Regional Sales Team Leader, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day performance, development and motivation of a regional field sales team operating across a wide geographical area.

This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role. You won’t simply be monitoring figures from behind a desk — you’ll be out in the field, working alongside your team, coaching in real time and helping them make the most of every customer interaction.

From door-to-door sales and community events to local engagement campaigns, you’ll ensure the team is active, focused and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You’ll also use sales data, customer feedback and local market insight to identify opportunities, improve performance and focus activity where it can have the greatest impact.

Your mission? Build a motivated, high-performing team that delivers results, develops its people and represents the business with pride.

    What you’ll be responsible for

Leading, motivating and developing your team

Lead, inspire and support Regional Sales Executives across the Highlands.

Create a positive, accountable team culture where people are encouraged to develop and achieve their potential.

Deliver regular one-to-ones, team briefings and performance reviews, recognising success and addressing challenges constructively.

Coach team members in the field, helping them strengthen their sales techniques, build confidence and convert more opportunities.

Set clear expectations, establish priorities and ensure everyone understands their individual and collective targets.

    Driving sales performance and growth

Take ownership of team sales performance, working towards agreed customer acquisition and conversion targets.

Plan and coordinate field activity, territory coverage and customer engagement across priority communities.

Analyse sales figures, leads and activity data to identify trends, address performance gaps and maximise opportunities.

Work alongside the team on door-to-door activity, roadshows, drop-in sessions and community events.

Maintain momentum and focus across a geographically dispersed team, adapting plans to changing priorities and local demand.

    Delivering an excellent customer experience

Ensure all customer interactions are professional, helpful and aligned with the business’s values.

Maintain high standards of sales conduct, data accuracy, quality and compliance.

Gather customer feedback, monitor local competitor activity and share valuable insights with the wider business.

Collaborate with Marketing, Community Activation and Customer Operations to coordinate campaigns and create a smooth customer journey.

Act as a trusted ambassador for the business, building positive relationships within the communities you serve.

    What will make you successful?

We’re looking for someone who combines strong people skills with commercial drive and the confidence to lead a team through both challenges and successes.

    You’ll ideally bring:

Experience in field sales, direct sales or another target-driven customer-facing environment.

Previous experience managing, supervising or coaching a team, either in a formal leadership position or as a senior member of a sales team.

The ability to motivate others, set expectations and encourage accountability while supporting individual development.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a natural ability to engage people at all levels.

A practical, hands-on coaching style and the confidence to provide constructive feedback.

A results-focused mindset, with the ability to interpret performance data and turn insights into action.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate people and activity across a large territory.

Resilience, adaptability and the ability to maintain enthusiasm and performance in a fast-paced environment.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Highlands.

Experience in broadband, telecommunications, utilities, subscription services or community engagement would be advantageous, but it’s not essential. Full product and systems training will be provided.

We’re interested in leaders who can bring out the best in people, take ownership of results and lead by example — not just those who have held a particular job title.

    What’s on offer?

Join a growing business helping transform connectivity across the Highlands, with a package designed to reward performance and support your wellbeing.

Competitive base salary with a commission structure offering strong earning potential.

Company vehicle and fuel card to support your regional responsibilities.

32 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays.

    Company pension scheme.

Full training and ongoing leadership support.

Employee Assistance Programme for additional support and wellbeing.

Cycle to Work Scheme and discounted gym membership.

Discounted home internet, subject to network coverage.

Career development opportunities within a growing organisation.

    What does success look like?

You’ll know you’re making an impact when your team consistently works towards its sales targets, individuals grow in confidence and capability, and field activity is focused, effective and well organised.

Just as importantly, customers will receive a positive, trustworthy experience, local communities will understand the benefits of full-fibre broadband, and your team will be recognised for the quality of both its results and its service.

    Ready to take the lead?

If you’re an experienced sales professional or team supervisor ready to take the next step, this is your chance to combine your leadership skills with a role that offers real responsibility, strong earning potential and the opportunity to help shape the future of connectivity across the Highlands. Please note this is a salary based position with an additional commission structure
