How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced maintenance supervisor who can manage engineers, keep servicing programmes on track and take ownership of a busy department?

IAG Mechanical Ltd operates across heating, HVAC, renewables and building services, delivering contracts in domestic, commercial and public-sector environments. With a significant and growing workload, including long-term contracts across Bradford and the BD postcode areas, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage our Gas, Oil and Mechanical Servicing & Maintenance Department.

You will oversee a team of six maintenance engineers, coordinating day-to-day operations and ensuring planned servicing, reactive repairs, compliance and associated administration are delivered efficiently and within contractual deadlines.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established department, with support from an experienced management and technical team.

    The Role

    Engineer Management & Scheduling

Supervise and coordinate a team of six maintenance engineers.

Plan daily workloads, engineer diaries, appointments and geographical scheduling to maximise productivity.

Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory servicing, reactive repairs and emergency call-outs.

Monitor engineer performance, outstanding works and service completion rates.

Ensure engineers have the job information, materials and instructions needed to complete their work efficiently.

    Client Compliance & Contract Management

Manage servicing schedules across multiple contracts, ensuring statutory and contractual obligations are met.

Oversee gas, oil and mechanical servicing records, certificates and compliance documentation.

Maintain servicing trackers, client compliance records and contract-specific reports.

Liaise with clients, contract managers and customers regarding appointments, outstanding works and service delivery.

Monitor and achieve contractual KPIs and service-level agreements.

    Job Management & Administration

Use Gas Engineer Software (GES) or a similar field service management system to manage diaries, job allocation, servicing records and completion documents.

Review job sheets, certificates, photographs and supporting evidence for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure completed works are processed promptly and ready for invoicing, with all required documentation.

Keep client portals and internal tracking systems accurate and up to date.

    Quotations & Additional Works

Identify and manage remedial and additional works arising from maintenance visits.

Prepare accurate quotations for repairs, replacement components and associated works.

Obtain material prices and availability from suppliers.

Track quotations, client approvals and outstanding remedial works.

Schedule approved works and ensure completion within agreed timescales.

    About You

You will have previous supervisory or management experience within a Gas, HVAC, Mechanical or Building Services Maintenance Department, with the confidence and technical understanding to run a busy servicing operation.

    You will also bring:

Proven experience managing multiple engineers across high-volume maintenance contracts.

A strong understanding of planned maintenance, statutory servicing, compliance and reactive repairs.

Experience using GES or equivalent scheduling and job management software.

Excellent organisational skills, including workload planning and geographical scheduling.

Experience preparing quotations and managing additional works.

The ability to review technical job sheets and prepare completed works for invoicing.

Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and general office systems.

A proactive, commercially aware approach and the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision.

Your experience should extend beyond diary management and job allocation. You will understand how to bring together engineer coordination, client compliance, quotations and administration to keep the department running smoothly from initial booking through to invoicing.

    What We Offer

    Competitive salary based on experience.

    Permanent, full-time employment.

Ownership of an established servicing and maintenance department.

Support from an experienced management and technical team.

Career development within a growing mechanical and renewables business.

Varied contracts across domestic, commercial and public-sector environments.

    Apply Now

If you have the experience to manage a busy maintenance department and would welcome the opportunity to take ownership of its day-to-day performance, we would like to hear from you.

Apply with your CV and details of your relevant experience.
