Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential Main Contractor

Location: Central London
Salary: £95,000–£110,000 per annum
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time

Ridgeway & Co Recruitment are working with an established main contractor seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its London commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Senior QS with a strong background in residential construction, particularly multi-storey apartment developments and complex new-build projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead commercial management of residential construction projects from procurement through to final account.

*

Manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, valuations and payments.

*

Prepare cost reports, forecasts and cash-flow projections.

*

Manage variations, contractual correspondence and commercial risk.

*

Work closely with project managers and site teams to protect project profitability.

*

Mentor junior commercial staff where required.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.

*

Strong background in residential developments, apartments or mixed-use construction.

*

Experience managing substantial subcontract packages.

*

Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial procedures.

*

Relevant construction or quantity surveying qualification preferred.
