The Role
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across multiple projects from concept through to completion.
You will play a key role in client engagement, technical decision-making and multidisciplinary project coordination while supporting the development of junior engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical building services design projects through all RIBA stages
Design low-voltage power distribution systems
Produce lighting, emergency lighting and small power designs
Prepare specifications, reports and technical calculations
Coordinate designs with Mechanical, Structural and Architectural teams
Attend client, design team and site meetings
Ensure compliance with BS7671, Building Regulations and industry best practice
Review and supervise technical drawings and project deliverables
Mentor and support junior Electrical Design Engineers
Manage project deadlines and deliver high-quality engineering solutionsSkills & Experience
Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Strong knowledge of electrical building services design
Experience with software including Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux or Relux
Understanding of power distribution, lighting design and building regulations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work to agreed programmesWhat's On Offer
