Accounts Assistant

EXCLUSIVE ROLE**

We're recruiting on behalf of a successful Northamptonshire-based business looking to add an experienced Accounts Assistant to its finance team.

This is a varied position that would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of the purchase ledger while also getting involved in wider business administration and stock-related processes. Working closely with the Finance Director and colleagues across the business, you'll play a key role in ensuring financial and operational activities run smoothly.

The Role

Full ownership of the purchase ledger function
Preparing monthly payment runs
Managing credit card invoice reconciliation
Reviewing delivery documentation and supporting stock administration
Checking import documentation and investigating discrepancies
Liaising with suppliers, warehouse teams and internal departments
Supporting business improvement projects and general administrative activities as requiredAbout You

Previous Purchase Ledger or Accounts Assistant experience
Experience working in a finance environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using accounting software
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
A proactive approach and willingness to support colleagues across the businessWhat's On Offer?

Salary circa £30,000
Hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
