How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Overview:

Oxfida (formerly Aioi R&D Lab – Oxford) is an AI R&D company based in Oxford, on a mission to harness AI to understand, predict, and manage risk, helping build a safer, more resilient society.

We sit at the intersection of academia and industry, working with Oxford's professors and researchers alongside commercial partners, and combining that expertise with real-world risk data at global scale to turn frontier research into AI that actually ships rather than just gets published.

Our work spans AI for insurance underwriting and claims, AI risk governance, privacy-preserving technologies for agentic AI, and quantum optimisation, alongside partnership projects on nature and supply chains and the emerging challenges nobody's solved yet.

We build AI products and solutions for insurers, businesses, and public-sector organisations worldwide, and run innovative research projects that push these technologies further, helping people make better decisions in an uncertain world.

    Trusted AI. Built in Oxford.

CODAS is our multi-year sovereign AI research and development programme, bringing together specialist teams and external partners to advance privacy preserving AI, secure AI platforms and new commercial applications.

We're looking for dynamic, driven professionals to help us deliver this ambitious programme. You'll need strong credentials, a proactive approach and the confidence to bring clarity and momentum to complex, evolving work.

As the CODAS Project Manager, you will coordinate the day to day delivery of the programme across its four interconnected tracks. Working closely with the Programme Director, Track Leads, technical and research specialists, and programme support functions, you will bring structure, pace and discipline to delivery. You will help maintain the integrated programme plan, coordinate milestones and dependencies, manage programme track risks and actions, and ensure stakeholders have a clear and reliable view of progress.

If you'd like to help shape the future of sovereign and privacy preserving AI and share in the success of CODAS we'd love to hear from you.

    Responsibilities:

    * The day to day delivery of CODAS is coordinated effectively across four interconnected tracks, with agreed programme outcomes, milestones and deliverables translated into clear plans and managed effectively through to completion.

    * The integrated programme plan brings together track level milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements and target dates in one reliable view.

    * Programme risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies are identified, managed and escalated promptly through the programme RAID log.

    * Stakeholders across technical, research, commercial and operational audiences have a clear and reliable view of delivery progress through regular communications and reporting.

    * Programme governance and change control, owned by the Programme Manager, are supported through track-level coordination and delivery input, enabling effective decision-making by the Programme Director and the Programme Steering Committee.

    * Cross track dependencies and blockers are coordinated, with clear actions, owners and resolution dates, and material concerns escalated promptly.

    Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

    Essential

    * 3+ years' experience managing complex technical projects or programmes, ideally within a technology, data, AI or research and development environment.

    * Proven experience managing delivery end to end, including mobilisation, planning, execution, governance, change control, and delivery reviews.

    * Experience developing and maintaining integrated delivery plans across multiple workstreams, including milestones, dependencies, resources and delivery forecasts.

    * Experience managing timelines, budgets, resource requirements, RAID logs, actions, decisions and stakeholder communications.

    * Comfortable working across both defined contractual deliverables and more exploratory research or innovation activity where plans may evolve as the work progresses.

    * Experience coordinating delivery across cross functional teams, working closely with technical leads, researchers, programme leadership and specialist functions such as Finance, Legal, Data Protection and Operations.

    * Experience establishing and supporting effective programme governance, including delivery reviews, senior reporting and steering forums.

    * Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to communicate clearly with senior internal stakeholders, technical teams, researchers and external programme partners.

    * Able to coordinate and influence delivery without direct line management authority, constructively challenging progress and escalating concerns when required.

    Desirable

    * Experience delivering projects or programmes within insurance, financial services or another regulated industry.

    * Experience working on publicly funded, grant funded, consortium or multi partner programmes with formal reporting, governance or evidence requirements.

    * Experience delivering AI, machine learning, data platform, privacy, cyber security or other research and development initiatives.

    * Familiarity with formal programme reporting and assurance requirements, particularly where delivery progress must align with financial, contractual or audit evidence.

    * Experience contributing to or developing project management processes, templates, playbooks and knowledge management systems, such as Confluence based resources.

    * Experience using collaborative planning and delivery tools such as Confluence, Jira, Productive, GitLab or equivalent.

    * Exposure to structured project management frameworks such as PRINCE2, APM, PMP, Agile, Scrum or equivalent.

    * Experience improving or automating programme management processes and reporting.

    Qualifications

    * A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP) is desirable but not essential.
