Are you a commercially minded Business Development Manager with experience in freight forwarding? Looking for an opportunity to grow new business, build lasting client relationships and make a real impact within a growing logistics business?
We're looking for a driven BDM to help develop and expand a multimodal freight forwarding operation, with a particular focus on air and sea freight.

The role
Identify and develop new business opportunities across the freight forwarding market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Drive sales growth, with a particular focus on air and sea freight services.
Develop multimodal freight opportunities, including road transport.
Identify customer requirements and deliver tailored logistics solutions.
Prepare and present proposals, negotiate rates and close new business.
Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to service delivery.
Monitor market trends, identify opportunities and contribute to the wider commercial strategy.
About you
Previous experience in business development within freight forwarding or international logistics is essential.
A strong understanding of air and sea freight, ideally alongside multimodal services.
A proven ability to win new business and develop profitable customer relationships.
Confident negotiating rates and presenting logistics solutions to customers.
Commercially aware, proactive and motivated to achieve sales targets.
A relationship builder who enjoys developing opportunities and seeing them through.
