How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager – Industrial Automation & Electrical Engineering – Warwickshire – £67–70k + Hybrid

    £5,600 car allowance | Bonus up to 15% | 7.5% employer pension contribution

    Are you an engineering project manager who enjoys taking ownership of complex electrical and automation projects, from initial specification through to installation and handover?

    Samuel Frank is working with a global manufacturer of machinery and specialist equipment to appoint a Project Manager with a background in Industrial Automation & Electrical Engineering. This opportunity will suit someone who has managed projects for a systems integrator, controls supplier or similar engineering contractor and understands what it takes to deliver successfully for customers.

    The Project Manager role;

    As Project Manager within Industrial Automation & Electrical Engineering, you will take responsibility for programme, cost, quality, safety and customer relationships across electrical controls projects. The work includes new installations, plant upgrades and retrofit activity, combining commercial project management with practical electrical engineering knowledge.

    * Plan and deliver projects against agreed budgets, milestones and quality requirements, managing forecasts, variations and commercial claims.

    * Act as the principal point of contact for customers, coordinating internal engineering teams, suppliers, subcontractors and site contractors.

    * Contribute to tenders and proposals, interpret specifications and assess technical and commercial supplier quotations.

    * Coordinate functional design specifications, electrical programmes, design reviews and the required approvals.

    * Oversee project health and safety, relevant plant and maintenance risk assessments and safety-related control system risk categorisation.

    * Support installation and commissioning activities, including electrical site supervision where needed, and secure final as-commissioned drawings.

    What you will bring;

    For this Project Manager (Industrial Automation & Electrical Engineering) position, the priority is proven supplier-side delivery experience alongside a sound understanding of industrial electrical controls.

    * Experience managing electrical controls, automation or systems integration projects for an engineering supplier, contractor or systems integrator.

    * Technical knowledge of three-phase low-voltage power and control design, with working knowledge of PLC and SCADA applications (this is not a programming role)

    * Strong commercial project management skills, including budgeting, planning, supplier management, subcontractors and customer communication.

    * Confidence interpreting specifications, resolving site issues and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.

    * Ideally an HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

    * A full driving licence and flexibility for UK customer-site visits, occasional overseas travel and, when necessary, weekend or shift work.

    Package and location

    The Project Manager (Industrial Automation & Electrical Engineering) vacancy offers £67–70k, a £5,600 car allowance, an annual bonus of up to 15% and a 7.5% company pension contribution. The business has a strong order book for 2027, established customers and scope for career development.

    Hybrid working requires two days per week in the Warwickshire office, alongside customer-site visits. The location is accessible from Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Redditch, Nuneaton, Rugby, Daventry and Northampton.

    If you are a Project Manager (Industrial Automation & Electrical Engineering) with the right electrical controls and supplier-side background, please send your CV. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
