How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Supply Chain Resilience Specialist
London / Middlesex – Hybrid Working
    6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Possibility of Extension

Help strengthen the resilience of critical UK supply chains

Are you experienced in supply chain risk, supplier assurance, procurement, logistics or business continuity? Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your knowledge to projects that support the UK's critical national capabilities?

We are seeking a Supply Chain Resilience Specialist to join a highly respected UK public body working on important national priorities, security and resilience.

This is a hands-on delivery role, ideal for someone who understands how supply chains operate, can identify potential vulnerabilities and enjoys turning research and analysis into practical solutions.

You will support the identification, assessment and mitigation of supply chain risks, helping ensure that critical materials, technologies and services remain available, reliable and resilient.

    The Role

Working with colleagues and specialist stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:

Supply Chain Risk Assessment:  Research and assess supply chains to identify vulnerabilities, dependencies, supplier concentration and potential single points of failure.
Supplier Analysis: Gather and analyse information on suppliers, sourcing arrangements, critical materials and alternative supply options.
Risk Monitoring: Monitor emerging geopolitical, commercial, regulatory and operational developments that could affect supply chain continuity.
Resilience Planning: Help develop practical risk mitigation measures, contingency plans and alternative sourcing options.
Research and Reporting: Prepare clear reports, risk assessments, briefing papers and recommendations to support decision-making.
Supplier Assurance: Support supplier due diligence and the assessment of supply chain reliability, capability and potential exposure to disruption.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work with procurement, commercial, technical and operational colleagues to gather information, validate findings and progress actions.
Project Delivery: Maintain risk registers, track mitigation actions and contribute to the successful delivery of supply chain resilience initiatives.About You

We are interested in candidates who combine analytical ability with practical experience of supply chains, supplier risk or operational resilience.

You may have experience in one or more of the following areas:

    - Supply chain management, procurement, supplier assurance or supplier risk.
    - Business continuity, operational resilience or risk analysis.
    - Logistics, manufacturing, engineering, defence or Critical National Infrastructure.
    - Researching suppliers, assessing dependencies or identifying potential disruption risks.
    - Preparing reports, analysing information and making evidence-based recommendations.
    - Supporting projects involving complex supply chains, technical products or essential services.

You will be organised, inquisitive and comfortable working with detailed information. You will also be able to communicate your findings clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues from different technical and professional backgrounds.

You do not need to have led a supply chain resilience function or developed an organisation-wide strategy.

We welcome candidates who have the relevant transferable experience and the ability to deliver practical work.

Security requirement:  Current SC Security Clearance is essential.

    Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to contribute directly to work that supports the resilience of critical UK supply chains and important national programmes.

You will gain exposure to complex supply chain challenges, work alongside experienced specialists and help turn risk assessments into tangible improvements.

The initial contract is for six months, with the possibility of extension.
