Flexible Hybrid – Avonmouth (3 days office, 2 days home)

£50,000 - £65,000 Basic + Car Scheme + Discretionary Bonus + 27 Days Holiday plus BH + 7.5% Pension + Life Insurance + Package

On offer is the opportunity to join a family-owned Civil Engineering contractor with a turnover of c£200m, operating across major Infrastructure, Highways, Earthworks and Civil Engineering projects throughout the South West and Wales. This is a key hire within the business, supporting its continued regional growth and strengthening its Work Winning capability.

Enjoy working in this Bid Manager position where you will have genuine ownership of the bidding process, working directly alongside the Pre-Construction Director to manage tenders from cradle to grave. You will be given autonomy and trust to coordinate technical and commercial teams, develop compelling submissions and influence bid strategy, within a dynamic, ambitious team based out of a modern, purpose-built office in Avonmouth.

Your Duties:

* Manage the end-to-end Bid process, from early engagement and strategy development through to final tender submission

* Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent tenders, typically managing 2–3 bids simultaneously

* Produce high-quality written submissions, translating complex technical and engineering solutions into clear, compelling responses

* Work closely with the Pre-Construction Director, Commercial, Technical and Operational teams to develop win strategies and competitive proposals

* Coordinate internal stakeholders, managing deadlines, responsibilities, reviews and submission requirements

* Support early-stage Capture Planning, identifying key opportunities and developing a strong understanding of client requirements

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of Bid processes, content libraries and Work Winning strategies

Experience Required:

* Strong experience in Bid Management within civil engineering, construction and engineering discipline ideal

* Proven ability to manage bids end-to-end

* Ability to influence stakeholders and improve bid processes

* Willing to commute to Avonmouth 3 days per week
