How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Rehlko is a global leader in power and energy resilience. Formerly known as Kohler Energy, Rehlko has continually shaped the way the world powers homes, industries, and critical infrastructure.

As part of this exciting growth, WB Power Services has now become Rehlko. This transition marks our evolution into an OEM, allowing us to design, build, and deliver complete power solutions from the ground up. It’s a transformation that strengthens our technical capability, expands our product range, and deepens the value we offer to our clients.

We retain the strong, values-led foundation of a family business, while being empowered by the scale, resources, and global vision of Rehlko. For our people, this means new opportunities, bigger projects, and a chance to shape the future of resilient, sustainable energy.

    The Role

As a Workshop Generator Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our fleet is maintained, serviced, and prepared for deployment. Working within a busy workshop environment, you will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, complete routine servicing, and ensure all equipment meets Rehlko’s quality, safety, and compliance standards before leaving the depot.

This is a hands‑on technical role requiring strong mechanical and electrical capability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators ranging from small sets to large multi‑megawatt units.

    *

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic software.

    *

Complete pre‑hire inspections, ensuring all equipment meets Rehlko’s quality and safety standards.

    *

Prepare generators, distribution equipment, and associated components for deployment to customer sites.

    *

Conduct load bank testing, functional checks, and performance verification.

    *

Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and compliance documentation.

    *

Ensure all workshop activities are completed in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 procedures.

    *

Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and preparation standards.

    *

Assist with workshop organisation, housekeeping, and stock control.

    *

Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.

    *

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements within the workshop environment.

    The Person

    *

Proven experience working with diesel generators or similar mechanical/electrical plant.

    *

Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.

    *

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.

    *

Experience with engine systems (e.g., Volvo, Scania, Perkins, MTU) is advantageous.

    *

Knowledge of control panels, alternators, and generator control systems (e.g., Deep Sea, ComAp) is desirable.

    *

Strong understanding of workshop safety and compliance requirements.

    *

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    *

High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

    *

    Full UK driving licence preferred.

    What We Can Offer You

    *

Competitive hourly rates (depending on experience).

    *

    Overtime after 40 hours

    *

33 days holiday (including bank holidays).

    *

    Training and upskilling opportunities.

    *

    Private healthcare.

    *

    Death in service benefit.

    *

    Excellent long-term progression opportunities.
