How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, office-based, 5 days per week

Interaction Recruitment is proud to be working with an established and successful business to recruit a Compliance Coordinator to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, detail-oriented professional with experience in compliance, quality assurance or technical administration to play a key role in ensuring products, materials and suppliers meet relevant regulatory, safety and industry standards.

Working closely with senior management and the wider business, you will help maintain compliance documentation, coordinate supplier checks and product testing, support audits and ensure all records are accurate, up to date and readily accessible.

Please note: This is a fully office-based role, five days per week, on the outskirts of Peterborough. Applicants must have access to their own transport due to the location.

    Key Responsibilities

Maintain and organise compliance documentation, certificates, declarations, test reports and audit records.

Develop and maintain a central digital filing system to ensure information is accurate, accessible and up to date.

Maintain compliance trackers, monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding actions.

Support the preparation and ongoing maintenance of ethical, quality and manufacturing audits.

Liaise with suppliers to obtain compliance documentation, declarations and supporting evidence.

Coordinate supplier audits, monitor corrective action plans and ensure outstanding issues are resolved.

Arrange fabric and foam batch testing, maintain records and follow up on results.

Support product safety compliance, including risk assessments, fire retardancy requirements and material traceability.

Assist with regulatory reporting relating to packaging, including applicable Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Plastic Packaging Tax requirements.

Collate and submit compliance information through customer-specific platforms and respond to customer queries.

Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to ensure products meet the required specifications and compliance standards.

Escalate missing documentation, audit non-conformances and potential compliance risks to the relevant stakeholders.

    About You

We are looking for someone who is methodical, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.

    Ideally, you will have:

Experience in compliance, quality assurance, technical administration or a similar role.

Knowledge of supplier compliance, audit preparation and document control.

An understanding of product safety, manufacturing standards or regulatory requirements.

Experience maintaining accurate records, trackers and reports.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and follow up with suppliers where necessary.

Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to organisation.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and escalate issues.

The ability to work calmly under pressure, manage competing deadlines and take ownership of tasks.

Good IT skills, including confidence using Excel and digital document management systems.

Experience with compliance frameworks such as SMETA, EUDR, UK fire-retardancy requirements, Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Better Cotton, REACH or packaging compliance would be advantageous.

    What's on Offer?

Salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The opportunity to join an established and successful business.

A varied role with responsibility across product, supplier and manufacturing compliance.

The opportunity to work closely with senior management and contribute to ongoing business standards and continuous improvement.

    A Monday-to-Friday working pattern.
