How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We offer flexible agency work across a variety of care homes and nursing homes, with opportunities for regular shifts, additional hours and last-minute bookings.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are flexible, dependable and happy to travel to different locations.

    Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants MUST meet the following criteria:

    * Minimum 6 months' professional care experience within the last 18 months, ideally within a care home or nursing home setting.

    * Willingness and ability to travel up to 2 hours each way to attend shifts when required.

    * Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check before commencing work.

    * Availability for last-minute shifts, including bookings at short notice.

    * Willingness to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.

    * Flexibility to work a combination of early shifts, late shifts, long days and night shifts.

    * Excellent communication skills and a professional, caring attitude.

    * Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    * Right to work in the UK.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are highly desirable but NOT essential. Non-drivers are welcome to apply, provided they can reliably travel to their allocated shifts, including early mornings, late nights and locations with limited public transport.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents in care home and nursing home environments.

    * Assisting residents with personal care, dressing, washing and daily living activities.

    * Supporting residents with mobility, transfers and moving and handling.

    * Promoting dignity, independence, privacy and wellbeing.

    * Assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional needs.

    * Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns to senior staff.

    * Maintaining accurate care records and following individual care plans.

    * Working professionally alongside permanent care teams.

    * Following safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive hourly rates of pay.

    * Flexible working arrangements to suit your availability.

    * Opportunities for regular and ongoing shifts.

    * Day, night and weekend shifts available.

    * Weekly pay.

    * Opportunities to work across a variety of healthcare settings.

    * Support from a dedicated, experienced recruitment team.

    * A friendly, professional and supportive agency environment.

    * Opportunities to gain additional experience across different care environments.

    The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants who take pride in their work, demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering excellent care and understand the importance of reliability.

Our clients frequently require support at short notice, so candidates who can respond quickly to shift requests, work weekends and travel to different locations will be particularly well suited to this role.

We welcome applications from both drivers and non-drivers, provided applicants can meet our travel and availability requirements.
