My client is undertaking a significant transition from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and is looking to bring an experienced contract engineer into its internal technology team.
Working closely with the organisation's IT function and an external cloud implementation partner, you will help deliver the technical aspects of the transition, ensuring users, business data and collaboration services move successfully into the new environment.
This position would suit a hands-on Microsoft 365 engineer who has delivered migration projects and is comfortable working across cloud productivity platforms. Previous experience moving workloads directly into Google Workspace would be a major advantage, although candidates with a strong Microsoft background and relevant migration expertise are also encouraged to apply.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Support the transition of corporate email services, including mailboxes, calendars, contacts and associated data.
Assist with the setup and configuration of Google Workspace accounts, Gmail and related productivity services.
Help transfer business documents and shared content from SharePoint Online and OneDrive into Google Drive.
Configure and troubleshoot user accounts, group memberships, access rights and permissions across both platforms.
Contribute to migration schedules, technical testing, data checks and production cutover activities.
Investigate migration errors, resolve technical issues and help maintain business continuity throughout the transition.
Work alongside the external delivery partner and internal stakeholders to coordinate technical tasks and resolve dependencies.
Maintain clear records of configuration changes, migration progress, known issues and operational handover requirements.
What You'll Bring
Practical experience administering Microsoft 365 in a business environment.
Previous involvement in hands-on cloud migration projects, ideally involving email and collaboration workloads.
Strong working knowledge of Exchange Online and mailbox migration processes.
Experience managing SharePoint Online and OneDrive content, including permissions and data structures.
An understanding of identity, user lifecycle management, access controls and directory services.
The ability to diagnose technical problems, work methodically and take ownership of assigned deliverables.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal IT teams, project stakeholders and third-party engineers.
Experience That Will Set You Apart
Previous delivery of a Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migration.
Hands-on administration of Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive and Shared Drives.
Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Google identity services, SSO and user provisioning.
Exposure to migration platforms such as MigrationWiz, Cloudiway or comparable tooling.
Experience using PowerShell to automate administrative tasks, validate environments or support migration activities.
