How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Support the planning and management of engineering projects from initial concept through to completion.

Develop the capability and performance of the maintenance team through training, mentoring, guidance and feedback.

Maintain accurate maintenance and engineering records to support monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement.

Assist with the development and maintenance of safe systems of work.

Ensure engineering activities comply with site health & safety, hygiene and operational procedures.

    Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone with:

Previous maintenance supervisory or engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.

Strong hands-on mechanical engineering knowledge and experience maintaining industrial machinery.

Electrical maintenance experience, including fault finding, troubleshooting and the ability to understand electrical schematics.

Experience working with mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes and pneumatic systems.

    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and maintenance.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop engineers.

Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience supporting or delivering engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

A strong understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
