How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Registered Manager to lead an established domiciliary care branch in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader to take ownership of branch performance, develop the existing team and drive business growth while ensuring high-quality care delivery.

The branch currently provides approximately 700 care hours per week, presenting significant potential to rebuild and expand the service. As Registered Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, strengthen relationships with local authority commissioners and ensure the branch is fully prepared for its first CQC inspection.

You will lead and support the Care Coordinator and Field Supervisor, improve operational processes and implement strategies to increase care hours while maintaining high standards of care, compliance and client satisfaction.

    Key responsibilities

    * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the domiciliary care branch, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and organisational policies.

    * Lead, support and develop the Care Coordinator and Field Supervisor to maintain an effective and motivated team.

    * Drive business growth by increasing care hours from the current level of approximately 700 per week.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners and other relevant stakeholders.

    * Prepare the branch for its first CQC inspection by implementing robust quality assurance and compliance processes.

    * Monitor service performance, identify areas for improvement and implement effective action plans.

    * Ensure high standards of person-centred care, safeguarding and client satisfaction.

    * Manage branch resources effectively and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

    * Participate in the shared on-call rota, including weekday and weekend cover.

    Do you have?

    * Proven experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care.

    * Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance requirements and inspection preparation.

    * Experience working with local authorities and commissioning teams.

    * A track record of growing care hours, developing teams and improving branch performance.

    * Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

    * A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

    * A full UK driving licence.

    Benefits:

    * Competitive salary of up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience.

    * Bonus structure available once the branch reaches 1,000 care hours.

    * Weekend on-call payment of £100, with weekday on-call shared between the team on an unpaid basis.

    * Statutory pension with a company pension plan.

    * Fully paid training and development opportunities, where applicable.

    * Additional benefits in line with the organisation's benefits package.
