How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We're recruiting for a local, family-led business seeking a Transport & Fleet Administrator to help keep its transport operation running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Working closely with the Transport Manager, Operations, and Compliance teams, you'll play a key role in coordinating fleet schedules, maintaining vehicle compliance, and supporting day-to-day transport operations.
    Key Responsibilities

Monitoring vehicle maintenance, defects, inspections, and servicing.
    *
Liaising with suppliers to ensure vehicle safety and legal compliance.

Monitoring tachograph data, drivers' hours, and compliance infringements.
    *
Reporting speeding incidents and driver behaviour concerns.
    *
Tracking tolls, Clean Air Zone charges, and other vehicle costs.
    *
Making customer satisfaction calls and maintaining accurate records.
    *
Supporting the Transport Manager and liaising with internal teams and customers.
    About You

Previous experience in a coordination, scheduling, or administration role.
    *
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
    *
    Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    *
Ability to plan and programme work logically and efficiently.
    *
Experience liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
    *
Confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
    *
Transport, logistics, or fleet experience would be beneficial, while water industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
    What's on Offer?
    *
    £26,500–£28,000 salary, depending on experience.
    *
    Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, full-time on-site.
    *
Occasional Saturday truck inspections, arranged in advance.
    *
A varied role within an established, family-led business.
If you're looking for a hands-on coordination role where your organisation and attention to detail can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you
