How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Hours: 8:30am–3:30pm, with one day per week finishing at 4pm

Complete Classroom Services (CCS) are working with a primary school to recruit a caring and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils within its SEN unit.

You will support children with special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them feel secure, engage in learning and develop independence.

This role includes personal care. Applicants must be comfortable providing this support sensitively, respectfully and in line with school procedures.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Providing individual and small-group support within the SEN unit.

    * Helping pupils manage their emotions and develop positive relationships.

    * Using consistent, positive behaviour strategies and supporting pupils during challenging moments.

    * Adapting learning activities alongside the teacher to meet individual needs.

    * Supporting personal care routines while maintaining pupils’ dignity and privacy.

    * Working closely with school staff to follow support plans and share observations.

    What we are looking for:

    * Previous experience supporting children with SEN and SEMH needs.

    * A calm, patient and consistent approach.

    * Confidence supporting emotional regulation and behaviour.

    * Willingness to undertake personal care; previous experience would be an advantage.

    * Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

    * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing.

    * The right to work in the UK.

    * An enhanced child workforce DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

You will receive support from a dedicated CCS consultant throughout your placement.
