How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning activities across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical teams and subcontractors, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients, you will help deliver projects in line with programme requirements, technical specifications, and relevant industry regulations.

The role will involve working across a range of assets, including water treatment works, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated electrical systems.

    * Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities on site.

    * Manage electrical operatives and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

    * Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, project specifications, and company procedures.

    * Promote a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across all site activities.

    * Ensure permits to work, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work are in place and followed.

    * Coordinate electrical activities with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, control, and commissioning teams.

    * Monitor progress against project programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

    * Inspect completed works to ensure quality standards are met and resolve any defects or non-conformances.

    * Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.

    * Maintain accurate site records, inspection and test documentation, progress reports, and handover information.

    * Liaise with clients, site management, design teams, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.

    * Ensure materials, tools, plant, and resources are available to support planned works.

    * Support the development of junior team members and promote best practice across the electrical team.

If you are an experienced Electrical Supervisor looking to contribute to the delivery of essential water industry infrastructure, we would welcome your application. Please submit your CV outlining your relevant experience, qualifications, and suitability for the role
