How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Why this one's worth a look
This is a well established aerospace engineering group with around 60 years behind it, and it's currently working through the biggest order book in its history. They supply precision parts, assemblies and structural components to some of the biggest names in aerospace and defence, handling everything in house from manufacturing through to treatment and assembly.

What makes them stand out is how solid they are as a business:

Around half of each year's profit goes straight back into the business

    Financially stable business

Over £20 million invested in new technology, people and apprenticeships in the last five years

    Several specialist business units

ISO 14001 accredited, with solar panels and an electric vehicle fleet

The Projects team is growing, and these roles have opened up because people have been promoted into senior positions elsewhere in the group. If you want somewhere you can build a long term career, this is a good place to do it. The team is also expected to expand further in early 2027.

    The role
As Project Coordinator/Engineer, you'll be the main point of contact between customers and the business units that make their parts. You'll own your own customer order book and make sure orders are delivered on time, in full and right first time.

You'll have real ownership of your accounts and be trusted to manage your own workload. The culture is empowering and collaborative, without micromanagement. You'll work closely with the Key Account Managers, Engineering, Quality, Commercial, Stores and the manufacturing teams to keep everything on track.

    What you'll be doing

    * Managing your own customer order book, keeping priorities, due dates and requirements clear

    * Tracking orders from receipt through to delivery and spotting risks to schedule, quality or cost early

    * Coordinating with the business units, Engineering, Quality, Commercial, Stores and suppliers to keep delivery on track

    * Acting as the day to day contact for your customers and keeping them updated

    * Supporting contract review, purchase order checks and customer requirement reviews

    * Running and following up actions from customer, project and production meetings

    * Keeping orderbook reports, trackers and customer updates accurate

    * Escalating issues when decisions or support are needed

    * Supporting root cause and corrective action work on delivery or quality issues

    * Contributing ideas to improve processes, data and reporting across the Projects Office

    What we're looking for
    Essential

    * Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment

    * Project coordination or project delivery experience, ideally managing your own order book or accounts

    * A good understanding of manufacturing processes, including engineering drawings and bills of materials

    * Strong organisation and confidence managing several priorities at once

    * Clear, confident communication with customers and internal teams

    * Comfortable working with digital systems such as ERP, trackers and reporting tools

    * Able to commute to the site each day

    Nice to have

    * Aerospace experience

    * Experience with SAP

    * Knowledge of ISO or aerospace quality standards

    * Experience with purchase orders, quotations or contract review

It suits someone proactive and collaborative who's happy to chase actions, likes owning their work and wants to keep developing their career.

    What's in it for you

    * Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience

    * Twice yearly bonus based on group profit and personal performance

    * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

    * Flexible start and finish times, with a half day every Friday

    * Genuine progression, with recent team members moving into senior roles across the group

    * A supportive, social team that trusts you to get on with your work
