How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Regional Commercial Manager - Liquid Food Logistics

    £65,000-£70,000 DOE + Company Car + Benefits

Location: UK Based | Field-Based | Regular Travel

Do you know the UK liquid food transport market, understand where the opportunities are and have the commercial instinct to turn them into profitable business?

Winsearch is partnering with an established international logistics organisation to recruit a Regional Commercial Manager for its liquid food division.

This newly created position offers an opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to play an important role in developing new business, strengthening customer relationships and expanding profitable transport flows across the UK.

We're looking for someone who understands the market beyond the sales process - someone who knows where food products are manufactured, how bulk liquids move around the country and where opportunities exist to connect routes, secure backloads and maximise transport capacity.

This is a genuine new-business development role, not a traditional account management position.

    The Opportunity

Joining an established international business, you'll become a key commercial contact within your region, building relationships with food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, commodity traders and logistics decision-makers.

You'll have the opportunity to use your industry knowledge and existing relationships to open doors, identify new customers and develop profitable business.

Working closely with commercial, operational and pricing teams, you'll help turn opportunities into practical transport solutions that benefit both customers and the wider network.

For someone who enjoys being close to the market, spotting opportunities and seeing the direct results of their commercial efforts, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

    Key Responsibilities

New Business Development: Proactively identify, approach and secure new customers across the UK liquid food and bulk transport markets.
Commercial Opportunities: Identify profitable spot movements, backloads and complementary transport flows.
Market Knowledge: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of UK food production sites, transport routes, regional flows and customer requirements.
Customer Relationships: Build relationships with logistics, supply chain, procurement and operational decision-makers.
Network Development: Recognise opportunities to reduce empty running, improve transport utilisation and generate additional revenue.
Commercial Negotiation: Develop and negotiate profitable transport opportunities and customer agreements.
Collaboration: Work closely with operations, pricing and commercial colleagues to develop competitive, achievable transport solutions.
Pipeline Development: Maintain an active pipeline of prospects, market opportunities and potential new business.
    About You

We're particularly interested in speaking with commercially driven individuals who can demonstrate:

Strong knowledge of the UK domestic liquid food or bulk liquid transport market.
A proven track record of identifying and winning new business , rather than solely managing existing accounts.
An established network of industry relationships within food manufacturing, ingredients, commodity trading or bulk transport.
An understanding of UK transport routes, capacity, backloads and commercial opportunities.
Strong commercial judgement , including pricing, profitability and identifying opportunities to improve transport efficiency.
An entrepreneurial, proactive approach , with the confidence to open doors and develop new customer relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
We would also welcome applications from individuals working within food ingredients, commodity trading or food manufacturing who have substantial knowledge of bulk transport and a proven ability to develop commercial opportunities.

    What's on Offer?

£65,000-£70,000 salary , depending on experience.
    Company car and benefits package.
A newly created position within an established international logistics business.
The opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of the UK liquid food operation.
A commercially influential, market-facing role with scope to develop new customer relationships.
The backing of experienced commercial, operational and pricing teams.
    Interested?

If you understand the UK liquid food market, have the relationships to open doors and know how to turn transport opportunities into profitable business, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
