How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Temporary Works Coordinator – HS2 – Aylesbury

    Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Package
    Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
    Position: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join a major civil engineering contractor delivering works on HS2 in the Aylesbury area.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, working on technically challenging civils packages with an established engineering and delivery team.

You'll be taking responsibility for coordinating temporary works across the project, making sure everything is properly designed, checked, approved and delivered safely on site.

    The Role:

    *

Manage and coordinate temporary works activities across the project.

    *

Maintain Temporary Works Registers and manage associated risks.

    *

Liaise with designers, engineers, site teams and subcontractors.

    *

Coordinate design briefs, approvals and temporary works inspections.

    *

Ensure compliance with BS 5975 and project procedures.

    *

Manage permit-to-load/unload processes and temporary works hold points.

    *

Work closely with the construction teams to keep works moving safely and efficiently.

    What We're Looking For:

    *

Previous experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator on civil engineering projects.

    *

Strong background in heavy civils, infrastructure or major construction schemes.

    *

Good understanding of temporary works design, checking and approval procedures.

    *

    Relevant Temporary Works Coordinator training.

    *

Engineering background would be a strong advantage.

    *

Someone who is organised, practical and confident dealing with site teams.

    *

    Full UK driving licence.

    What's On Offer?

A permanent position on a major UK infrastructure scheme, competitive salary and package, technically interesting work and the chance to develop your career within major civil engineering.

If you've got solid temporary works experience and fancy getting involved in HS2, get in touch for a confidential chat
