How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading contractor delivering works across the CP7 framework throughout Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and organised Project Manager with experience in building maintenance, reactive works and property services to take responsibility for the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of building-related projects.

Working within a busy reactive maintenance environment, you will oversee works from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational teams.

    The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing reactive building maintenance works across the CP7 framework, coordinating resources and ensuring that jobs are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    *

Managing the day-to-day delivery of reactive building maintenance works across Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

    *

Overseeing projects from initial instruction and assessment through to completion and handover.

    *

Coordinating subcontractors, directly employed operatives, suppliers and site teams.

    *

Ensuring all works comply with health and safety legislation, relevant building regulations and client requirements.

    *

Monitoring project costs, budgets, variations and financial performance.

    *

Managing reactive work orders and prioritising urgent repairs in line with client service-level agreements (SLAs).

    *

Conducting site visits to monitor progress, quality and compliance.

    *

Maintaining accurate project records, reports and documentation.

    *

Liaising with clients and stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships.

    *

Identifying potential risks, resolving operational challenges and ensuring minimal disruption to building users.

    *

Supporting the delivery of planned and remedial works where required.

    The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a proactive Project Manager who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive maintenance environment and can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

    You will ideally have:

    * Proven experience as a Project Manager within building maintenance, construction, property services or facilities management

    * Experience delivering reactive maintenance works across commercial, public-sector or other multi-site building portfolios.

    * Previous experience working on frameworks or term maintenance contracts; CP7 framework experience would be advantageous.

    * A strong understanding of building fabric, repairs, remedial works and general building services.

    * Experience managing subcontractors, site operatives, budgets and programme delivery.

    * A good understanding of health and safety requirements and construction compliance.

    * Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

    * The ability to prioritise urgent works and deliver against strict deadlines and SLAs.

    * A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

Looking for Project Manager with proven experience working on civil rail projects specifically with buildings on reactive maintenance contracts. Will need a valid PTS.
