How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job title: SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD – Lambeth

    Location: Lambeth, London

Salary: £93 - £105 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

    Start date: 9 November 2026

Contract: Full time, temporary, long term.

Hours: Term time; daily hours and assignment arrangements confirmed before placement.

Helping a pupil feel understood starts with noticing how they communicate. Transparency Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant in Lambeth to support autistic children with learning, routines and participation in the school day.

You will follow individual plans while getting to know pupils’ interests, strengths and the situations they find demanding. The role suits someone who can offer patient support and gradually create more opportunities for children to make choices for themselves.

    Responsibilities

    • Reinforce classroom instructions using agreed visual or communication resources.

    • Support transitions between learning, breaks and other school routines.

    • Use pupils’ interests to encourage engagement with planned activities.

    • Prompt social interaction sensitively, respecting individual preferences.

    • Record relevant responses and work with staff to keep support consistent.

    Requirements

    • Relevant experience with autism or additional communication needs.

    • The ability to follow guidance and adapt your own communication.

    • Dependable teamwork and an encouraging approach that supports pupil autonomy.

    • An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one as part of the recruitment process.

    What the role offers

    • A role focused on understanding individual learners and building trust.

    • The opportunity to support both classroom learning and everyday communication.

    Why work via Transparency Education?

You will have a dedicated consultant for ongoing support and guidance, with access to CPD through our in-house team of experienced senior leaders.

Our refer-a-friend scheme pays £150 for each candidate you refer after they have worked and been paid for their first 10 days. We pay in line with applicable Agency Workers Regulations (AWR).

    Apply

Apply with your CV and tell us about the age groups and additional needs you have supported.

Email or call (phone number removed). Please include your availability for a 9 November 2026 start.

If you have not heard from us within two working days, your application has not progressed for this role. We may contact you about other suitable education opportunities.
