How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a small, community-focused primary school in Kensington that is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their Year 1 team. This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, supporting pupils with additional needs alongside the class teacher.

The role will involve providing classroom support and helping pupils access the Year 1 curriculum, with a particular focus on children with SEN. You may be supporting pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The school is looking for someone who can adapt their approach to individual pupils, encourage independence and help children feel settled and confident in the classroom.

    The School

This is a one-form entry primary school with a strong community feel. Staff work closely together and know their pupils well, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. It's a good opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a smaller school and wants to make a genuine difference to children's learning and development.

    Pay

£95 per day for candidates with a minimum of three months' experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or SEND setting.

£100 per day for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have over 12 months' previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH or SLD, or experience with personal care.

Pay is processed directly through our payroll team, with no umbrella company deductions.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting children in a primary school, ideally in KS1

Have some experience working with pupils with SEN

Be confident adapting support to suit individual learning and behavioural needs

Be patient, consistent and able to build positive relationships with pupils

Work well with the class teacher and wider school team

Be available for a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP

    Requirements

Previous experience working with children in an educational, care or SEND setting

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

    Professional references
