How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and account queries.
    * Allocating payments, assisting with account reconciliations and supporting credit control activities.
    * Monitoring completed jobs awaiting invoicing to ensure work is billed promptly.
    * Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end procedures.
    Service Administration

    * Supporting Service Advisors with vehicle bookings, service records and customer updates where required.
    * Liaising with workshop technicians, parts departments and service colleagues to ensure job information is complete.
    * Coordinating paperwork for servicing, repairs, maintenance and warranty claims where applicable.
    * Monitoring the progress of service jobs and following up on outstanding documentation.
    * Responding to customer telephone and email enquiries professionally.
    * Updating customer and vehicle records accurately on internal systems.
    * Assisting with purchase orders, parts documentation and general service administration.
    * Ensuring all completed work is documented correctly and ready for invoicing.
    Skills & Experience
    * Previous experience in an accounts, sales ledger or accounts administration role in an automotive/ motor retail environment involving service administration and invoicing
    * Understanding of customer invoicing, job cards and financial documentation.
    * Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
    * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new systems.
    * Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    * Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads in a busy environment.
    * A proactive approach to resolving queries and maintaining accurate records.
Experience within a motor trade service department and familiarity with dealer management systems such as Kerridge/Autoline would be advantageous.
    Working Hours
Flexible start times are available, with the option to start between 6:00am and 9:30am, working eight hours per day.
    The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and detail-focused, with the ability to balance financial accuracy with efficient service administration. You will be comfortable liaising with customers and colleagues, managing competing priorities and ensuring service paperwork and invoicing are completed within deadlines.
