The Opportunity
We are working with an established and growing multidisciplinary property consultancy that provides surveying, compliance and asset management services to clients across the UK.
As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking to appoint a Surveyor Resource Manager to take responsibility for coordinating, developing and managing its external network of surveyors and assessors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, commercially aware individual who enjoys working with people, solving operational challenges and ensuring that projects have the right resources in place to deliver successfully.
The appointment will play an important role in supporting the continued development of the business, with genuine scope to influence how its surveying resources are managed and deployed.
The Role
Working closely with the operational management and project delivery teams, you will take responsibility for ensuring that surveying programmes are appropriately resourced, efficiently coordinated and delivered to the required standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identifying, recruiting and onboarding external surveyors and assessors to support existing contracts and future projects.
Developing and maintaining a reliable network of surveying professionals across the UK.
Planning and allocating surveying resources across multiple projects and geographical locations.
Forecasting resource requirements and identifying potential capacity constraints.
Monitoring surveyor productivity, performance, quality and programme delivery.
Building strong working relationships with external contractors and internal project teams.
Supporting the commercial management of surveying resources, including rates, utilisation and cost efficiency.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes, reporting and resource management systems.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve delivery challenges and maintain client service standards.
About You
We are interested in speaking with individuals who have experience in resource management, workforce planning, contractor coordination or operational delivery.
Ideally, you will have worked within one or more of the following environments:
Property surveying and asset management
Social housing and stock condition surveying
Domestic retrofit and energy assessment
Property compliance and inspection services
Building maintenance and associated technical services
Previous experience managing external surveyors or assessors would be particularly advantageous, although we would also welcome applications from individuals with relevant transferable experience.
You will need to demonstrate strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and the confidence to manage relationships with a geographically dispersed workforce.
What Makes This Opportunity Attractive?
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious business with an established client base and a growing portfolio of surveying and compliance projects.
You will have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to operational performance, develop a national surveying network and help shape the systems and processes that support the company's continued growth.
The role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to develop your career within an expanding multidisciplinary consultancy.
