How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

About The Role & Who We’re Scouting

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Receptionist to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. As Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in creating an exceptional first impression of the Club and Training Ground providing professional, welcoming, and customer-focused service to all visitors, players, staff, parents, clients, guests, and external stakeholders.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate Receptionist to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. As a member of the Reception team, you’ll play a key role in providing a first-class welcome to all stakeholders including LCFC staff, visitors, clients, parents, public and both Academy and First Team players.

Your responsibilities will include greeting and catering all guests, ensuring the highest standard of service is delivered at the various Reception points, while keeping both them and their host updated.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Reception, Customer Services, Events, Hospitality, or Front of House roles, with administrative elements also being key to this role. You will have worked in roles that deliver first-class visitor experience, possessing an awareness of the demands involved in a multi-purpose facility.

You’ll need to be able to communicate to the highest level; to listen, interpret and convey information in a clear and accurate manner, providing timely delivery of information and select the most appropriate method of communication. Processing information and working to deadlines with excellent attention to detail is key, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Due to the remote location and lack of reliable public transport, a driving licence is required.

You’ll need to be flexible and well organised with the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure, demonstrating honesty, integrity, reliability and confidentiality at all times. If you're excited about making a difference and contributing to the Club’s success, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

If you think your experience and skills match and you’ve got the drive, energy, and skills to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, we want you on our team!
