How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Regional Sales Manager – Construction & M&E

Location: Milton Keynes, covering clients mainly within a one-hour radius

Salary: Up to £70,000 plus car or car allowance

Bonus: Uncapped, the more business you win, the more you earn

    About the Business

This is an established, privately owned construction and M&E business with a strong name in the market, a solid client base and turnover of around £30 million. The business is already well set up, with a skilled and supportive team across estimating and delivery, so you will have the backing needed to turn opportunities into completed work.

The next target is £50 million, and this appointment will play a key part in building on existing relationships and developing new regional business. Projects cover M&E, small works, reactive maintenance and facilities management across logistics, the public sector, healthcare, defence and interiors.

    Job Overview

You will not be starting from scratch. The company already has a strong client base, repeat business and a capable team around you. Your role will be to build on that platform, expand regional sales activity and secure new opportunities across the construction and M&E sectors.

Covering mainly within an hour of Milton Keynes, you will have the freedom to shape the regional sales strategy and put your own plan into action. Much of your time will be spent meeting clients, visiting businesses, networking and entertaining key contacts.

Once an opportunity is secured and qualified, the estimating and delivery teams will support you with pricing, handover and delivery, allowing you to focus on developing relationships, generating opportunities and driving revenue growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop and deliver a regional sales strategy, targeting construction and M&E opportunities that support the company's growth from £30 million to £50 million.

    * Use your contacts, market knowledge and sales expertise to open doors, create meetings and secure new projects across logistics, the public sector, healthcare, defence, interiors, M&E, small works, reactive maintenance and facilities management.

    * Build strong regional relationships through client meetings, regular visits, networking and appropriate client entertainment, while developing existing accounts and creating new opportunities.

    * Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities across the region.

    * Keep close to upcoming frameworks, tenders and regional opportunities, negotiating commercially sound terms and focusing on work the business can deliver successfully.

    * Work closely with the estimating and delivery teams on pricing, proposals, handover and project delivery.

    * Manage the sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasting and keep opportunities moving through to award.

    * Represent the business at industry events and within key regional markets.

    What We're Looking For

    * Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or similar within construction, M&E or facilities management.

    * A strong network of construction and M&E contacts, with the confidence to turn relationships into meetings and live opportunities.

    * A proven track record of winning profitable business and growing customer accounts.

    * A confident, money-motivated sales professional who enjoys meeting people, opening doors, negotiating and closing deals.

    * Commercially aware and organised, with the ability to manage a pipeline, assess suitable opportunities and keep deals moving.

    * Comfortable travelling regionally for client meetings, visits, networking and client entertainment.

    * Experience of winning work through frameworks would be a real advantage, particularly across the public sector, healthcare or defence.
