How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Fire Door Inspector – High End Residential (Permanent)
    Location: London (Kensington, Chelsea, South & South West London)
    Salary: £42,000 – £44,000 DOE

    The Opportunity

    This is an opportunity for an experienced Fire Door Inspector to join a well-regarded and growing passive fire specialist in London. The business works exclusively with one client across high-end residential properties in Kensington, Chelsea and South West London — so this is a stable, consistent role with no juggling of multiple clients or contracts.

    No remedial works and no tools required. This is a pure visual inspection role for someone who knows fire doors inside out, takes pride in detail and wants to get on with their work without the headache of heavy management or constant pressure.

    The business is open to interviews at short notice — if you know your stuff and can demonstrate your knowledge, that is what matters here.

    The Role

    As Fire Door Inspector, you will carry out visual fire door inspections across high-end residential flat blocks in Kensington, Chelsea and South West London. You will assess, record all findings accurately through a digital survey system. All work is for one client — providing a focused, stable and manageable workload throughout.

    This is a visual inspection only role — no remedial works, no tools, no installations.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out detailed visual fire door inspections across high-end residential flat blocks in South West London

    * Work across Kensington, Chelsea and surrounding areas

    * Record all findings accurately and thoroughly using a digital survey system

    * Identify defects and non-compliance issues in line with BM TRADA standards and current regulations

    * Maintain a professional, discreet and courteous approach when working within high-end occupied residential properties

    * Work independently and manage your own workload efficiently throughout

    What We’re Looking For

    * Proven experience carrying out fire door inspections — essential

    * Strong, working knowledge of BM TRADA standards — essential

    * Thorough and detail-oriented approach to inspections and reporting — essential

    * Comfortable working within high-end occupied residential environments — essential

    * Experience using digital survey and reporting systems — desirable

    * Formal fire door inspection qualifications — desirable but not essential if experience and knowledge are strong

    * Full UK Driving Licence — desirable

    What’s On Offer

    * £42,000 – £44,000 per annum depending on experience

    * Permanent, stable position working for one client

    * Visual inspections only — no remedial works or tools required

    * Relaxed, supportive working environment

    * High-end residential work across Kensington, Chelsea and South West London
