How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Opportunity

Spencer Ogden is a global specialist recruitment consultancy, partnering with leading organisations across the energy, infrastructure, engineering and technology sectors.

We are seeking an experienced Field Solutions Specialist to support an established energy storage organisation across its EMEA operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a field operations, quality or technical professional with experience resolving site-based issues, managing corrective actions and coordinating remediation activities across operational energy projects.

Working as part of a Rapid Response team, you will take ownership of field quality issues, drive non-conformance resolution and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented, verified and documented.

    Key Responsibilities

You will lead field remediation activities across operating projects, addressing quality issues, non-conformance reports (NCRs), failures and corrective actions. You will drive the investigation, resolution, verification and closure of non-conformances, ensuring all activities are properly documented and completed in line with quality requirements.

The role will involve managing field resources and subcontractors, including mobilisation, workforce planning and execution support. You will collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Warranty and Project Management teams to investigate and resolve technical and operational issues.

You will also develop remediation plans, schedules, risk mitigation strategies and progress reports to support successful project delivery. An important aspect of the position will be standardising field operations through improved remediation procedures, tooling requirements, recurring spare-parts lists and operational reporting.

    Candidate Requirements

Candidates should have experience in field operations, quality management, technical services, commissioning, maintenance or remediation within the energy or engineering sector. Demonstrable experience managing non-conformances, root-cause investigations, corrective actions or field quality issues is essential.

You should have experience coordinating subcontractors, field engineers or technical resources across multiple projects, alongside strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, procurement, warranty and project teams.

The successful candidate will be comfortable developing remediation plans, monitoring progress and producing clear technical and operational reports. A proactive, solutions-focused approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex site issues is essential, together with strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Experience within battery energy storage systems (BESS), power generation, renewable energy or other complex energy infrastructure projects would be advantageous. Candidates must be willing and able to travel internationally approximately 25–50% of the time.

    Contract Details

This is a remote opportunity covering the EMEA region, with international travel requirements. The initial contract is for 12 months, with the potential to extend. The engagement is expected to be Outside IR35, subject to confirmation of the contractual arrangement. Business travel expenses will be covered in accordance with company policy.

    Apply Now

If you have experience in field remediation, technical operations or quality management within the energy or engineering sector, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this position with you.
