Job Type: Full-time | £26,000 – £28,000 per year (plus commission)
About Us
Founded in 2018 and proudly based in Hillsborough, Sheffield Mobility is a family-run business at the heart of the local community.
With over 500 five-star reviews, our mission is simple: to support our customers and their independence by providing the right mobility equipment to suit their individual needs.
As we continue to grow in 2027 and beyond, we’re looking for a motivated, empathetic and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our Hillsborough showroom team.
About the Role
This is more than a traditional retail sales position.
As a Sales Advisor, you will take ownership of the entire customer journey — from the moment a customer first contacts Sheffield Mobility, through consultation and product selection, all the way through to the completion of the sale and delivery.
You’ll need to be someone who genuinely listens to customers, understands their individual circumstances and can confidently recommend the right solution for their needs.
You’ll work closely with Natalie, our Business Manager, and Jamie, our Director, as part of a close-knit team where everyone plays an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to sale and delivery.
* Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their individual needs.
* Listening carefully and asking the right questions before recommending a product.
* Advising customers on mobility scooters, wheelchairs, walking aids and general living assistance equipment.
* Demonstrating products confidently and professionally in our showroom.
* Providing accurate quotations and product information.
* Following up with customers and keeping them informed throughout the sales process.
* Coordinating with colleagues to ensure orders are completed smoothly.
* Maintaining regular communication with customers before and after their purchase.
* Identifying opportunities to increase sales while always putting the customer’s needs first.
* Maintaining showroom displays, stock levels and overall presentation.
* Working towards individual and company sales targets.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can combine excellent customer service with a genuine desire to achieve sales results.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Empathetic and able to understand the needs and circumstances of our customers.
* An excellent verbal communicator who can build rapport and make customers feel comfortable.
* A great listener who can take the time to understand before offering advice.
* Able to process information quickly and accurately.
* Friendly, approachable and professional.
* Confident speaking to customers both face-to-face and over the phone.
* Motivated by achieving sales targets and earning commission/bonus.
* Organised and capable of managing multiple customers and sales at different stages.
* Proactive with customer follow-ups and comfortable taking ownership of a sale.
* Confident demonstrating products and learning about technical equipment.
* Comfortable working in a flexible, hands-on environment where everyone gets involved.
* Genuinely passionate about helping people and making a positive difference to their independence and everyday lives.
Sales Experience
Previous sales or retail experience is preferred, but we’re more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude.
If you’re naturally good with people, listen well, communicate clearly and are motivated by both helping customers and achieving financial rewards through commission, we’d love to hear from you.
