How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re looking for a Glaze Spray Operator to join our production team supporting a key stage of our manufacturing process.

The role involves operating automated glazing equipment to apply an even and consistent glaze to ceramic products before firing. This is an important part of our manufacturing process, as the quality of the glaze contributes to the finished product’s appearance, durability and overall quality.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment would be desirable but is not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.

What sort of person are we looking for?

A team player who works to the values and culture of the organisation

    Excellent time management and attendance

Quality conscious, taking pride in their work and achieving high standards

Able to follow set processes and instructions

Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

A flexible and reliable approach to work

    Key Responsibilities

Operate automated spray equipment to apply glaze evenly to ceramic products

Ensure glaze coverage and thickness meet required company quality standards and specifications

Check ware before glazing to ensure surfaces are clean and free from visible defects, such as cracks or bumps

Prepare, clean and maintain spray guns, nozzles and spray booth equipment

Carry out routine checks to ensure equipment is operating correctly

Identify and report any quality or equipment issues

Achieve production and quality targets set for the department

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area

Follow all relevant health and safety procedures

Work effectively both independently and as part of the wider production team

Be flexible in your approach to the needs of a fast-paced production environment

If you’re reliable, quality focused and keen to develop your skills within a busy manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you
