Safety & Reliability Engineer
Location: Lincoln
Working Arrangement:
Hybrid
Salary:
Up to £59
Are you a Safety & Reliability Engineer who enjoys investigating problems, assessing risk and finding ways to make systems safer and more reliable? This is an opportunity to use your technical expertise to influence engineering decisions, improve operational performance and help prevent issues before they occur.
The role:
You’ll work across engineering projects and operational assets, identifying potential hazards, assessing risks and developing practical solutions to improve safety and reliability. Your work will help ensure that products and systems perform as intended throughout their lifecycle.
You’ll have the opportunity to investigate failures, identify their root causes and recommend improvements that make a lasting difference. This will include reliability assessments, risk analysis, maintenance strategies and monitoring system performance to identify where improvements are needed.
Working alongside engineering, operations, maintenance and quality teams, you’ll contribute to technical reviews and help shape decisions around design, safety requirements and asset performance. You’ll also support continuous improvement initiatives, develop technical recommendations and help ensure relevant safety and regulatory requirements are met.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll have at least five years’ experience in safety engineering, reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, systems engineering or a related industrial environment.
You’ll be comfortable using risk assessment methods such as HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA/FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis, with experience in root cause analysis, RAMS and reliability improvement techniques.
You’ll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn technical findings into clear recommendations. Experience developing safety documentation, improving maintenance strategies or working with asset management processes will also be important.
An engineering qualification or professional accreditation would be beneficial. Experience with functional safety, reliability modelling, condition monitoring or asset management systems would be an advantage, particularly within a complex engineering or industrial environment.
This is a permanent opportunity for a Safety & Reliability Engineer who wants to make a tangible impact on risk reduction, system performance and the long-term safety and reliability of engineering assets.
We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background
