How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Financial Services Administrator

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire (Hybrid Options Available)
    Salary: £27,000–£32,000 per annum

    About the Role

We are seeking an organised, customer-focused Business Support Service Administrator to join a centralised administration and client servicing team within the financial services sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play an important role in supporting financial advisers and clients by ensuring that servicing requests are processed accurately, efficiently and within agreed service levels.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a confident, professional telephone manner. Previous experience within financial services, particularly in life, pensions or investments, would be advantageous but is not essential.

    Key Responsibilities

Process a range of client servicing requests in line with agreed service standards and procedures.

Handle death notifications and claims, letters of authority (LOAs), policy information requests and identity verification.

Arrange and book annual client review meetings.

Prepare and process client valuations ahead of scheduled reviews.

Respond to administrative and servicing queries from financial advisers and internal teams.

Liaise with product providers to obtain policy information, progress requests and resolve queries.

Provide updates on cases and ensure requests are managed within agreed timescales.

Maintain accurate client records and update internal systems accordingly.

Ensure client documentation is stored correctly and files are maintained in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Assist with finance-related queries and support the processing of relevant fees and invoices.

Build positive relationships with clients, advisers, colleagues and external providers through professional communication.

Support colleagues with shared workloads and contribute to wider team objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

    About You

We are looking for a confident, proactive individual who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of accuracy.

    You will ideally have:

Previous experience in administration and/or customer service.

Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.

The ability to build rapport with clients and develop positive working relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.

A flexible, team-oriented approach and a willingness to support colleagues when required.

A commitment to following procedures, maintaining confidentiality and working within compliance requirements.

    Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:

Financial services, particularly life assurance, pensions or investments.

Independent financial adviser (IFA) firms or financial product providers.

    Processing client valuations.

Preparing or processing letters of authority.

Managing client address changes and policy servicing requests.

Financial services experience is desirable rather than essential, as training will be provided on internal systems and processes.

    Benefits

Competitive salary of £27,000–£32,000, depending on experience.

Life assurance equivalent to four times annual salary.

Employer pension contribution of 6%, with a 3% employee contribution.

    Structured induction and training programme.

Opportunity to develop experience within the financial services sector
