How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Frontend Software Engineer (Angular) X4 | Bath / Hybrid/Remote | £450 - £475 per day Outside IR35

Bright Purple is partnering with a well-established B2B software business to hire a Frontend Software Engineer. You will play a key part in the redesign of their client portal.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced mid-level or senior engineer who knows Angular inside out, writes clean TypeScript and enjoys owning work from idea to production. You will join a collaborative product team that values good engineering, makes the most of AI-assisted development and wants people who will shape technical decisions.

    What you’ll be doing

Designing, building and maintaining responsive, accessible web applications in Angular and TypeScript

Owning features end to end, from technical refinement through to deployment and monitoring

Working closely with product, UX/design, QA, platform and backend colleagues to turn user needs into well-crafted interfaces

Building reusable, consistent components and contributing to sound frontend architecture

Making sensible trade-offs across usability, security, performance and delivery

Taking part in code reviews, improving test automation and CI/CD, and sharing knowledge across the team

    What you’ll bring

Commercial experience building and supporting production web applications

Strong, modern Angular experience covering components, routing, forms, dependency injection, RxJS and state management

Excellent HTML and CSS skills, with a practical understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design

Experience integrating with REST APIs, including handling authentication, errors and asynchronous data securely

A testing mindset, with unit, component and end-to-end tests as part of how you work

Confidence diagnosing live issues and a good grasp of frontend security

Clear communication and the ability to explain technical choices to technical and non-technical people

    Nice to have

    Design system experience

Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright or similar

    NgRx or Angular signals

Web performance optimisation and tools such as Sentry

Docker, AWS and modern deployment pipelines

Experience in agile, product-led or data-rich B2B environments

    Why apply?

You will help shape a high-profile product redesign from the ground up, working in a modern engineering culture that cares about quality, ownership and continuous improvement.
